Levi Qualls Essays - Fiction, Gandalf, Shire, Middle-earth

Levi Qualls November 9, 2017 Lesson 13 Gamgee's and Gold On Tuesday morning, Sam, the father of the Gamgee family, was walking along the Baggins Road and saw a sign that announced the Dwarves had found a mine full of glorious gorgeous gold. They had named the gold mine "California". The Gamgee's, which was a small family was made up of two children, a loving wife and husband. They lived in a small village in Middle Earth called the Shire. Sam thought that they could use some gold, so that they could make a better life for themselves. As soon as he saw the sign, he quickly ran home. After he got home, he told his family the wonderful news. The Gamgee family was excited to hear news about the Dwarves gold and immediately started to pack. The day they left to follow their dream, they heard that Gandalf had just died. Hearing this news slowed them down but they strongly persevered because Sam remembered what Gandalf said to him, "Fear is just a reason to try harder." On the third day a hostile storm hit them, which caused them to lose their beloved donkey, but they did not stop, because they had endeavored to fulfill their dreams just as Gandalf would have wanted them to. It took them one whole week to get there. When they arrived, they were very welcome. They met old friends and made new friends. During the search for gold in the cave there was a disastrous cave-in, but Sam, who had managed to save everyone, discovered gold in the act. On that day Sam was proudly known as Sam wise the brave. The Gamgee family was glad to have found the sign along Baggins road that led them to California and gold!
